Celebrity Chat
One of the questions I get quite often is about the celebrities and famous folks we get to interview from time to time in my business. People want to know what they're really like in person. As you can imagine, every celebrity is different: some are a little full of themselves, but many others are very down-to-earth.
Last weekend, I had the chance to interview Jane Seymour. She was at Nebraska Furniture Mart, promoting her line of home decor items. She's been in a long list of movies and TV shows. I remember her from Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (which was once my parents' favorite show), but more recently, many people know her from ABC's Dancing with the Stars.
So what was she like? Very nice. But I have to tell you, I'd have trouble keeping up with her schedule. She flies all over the country for a whole host of different reasons, including her home decor line and of course, acting. How about this: she's also a painter, and quite an accomplished one. In fact, she's painting a design for the Olympics in Beijing.
She says she loved her time on Dancing with the Stars, even though she suffered some personal tragedies during the show. Seymour used dancing as an outlet after her mother passed away. However, she admits she doesn't dance much now.
She talked to me for quite a while after our on-camera interview was over. In fact, her handler pulled her away to make sure she ate some lunch before she gave a presentation about her home decor line. I imagine sleeping and eating aren't that high on Jane Seymour's list. There are just so many other interesting things to do.
